Georgette Dobkin and Michelle Hession were non-traditional educators serving in traditional settings for many years. As teachers, they were passionate about creating a classroom environment that inspired a love of learning and equipped students with the skills needed for today's world. Not finding this anywhere else, they left the classroom to design such a place. And so, in 2017, the Homegrown Learning Academy was born.
The Homegrown Learning Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, disability, veteran status, or age in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, employment policies or other school administered programs and activities.
